Things move fast in the world of media. Earlier this week, Megyn Kelly announced she would be leaving Fox News for NBC and almost instantly rumors began swirling as to whom would take over her slot.
As our friend at Young Conservatives reported last night, a bevy of beauties was reported to be vying for the slot including Trish Regan, Shannon Bream, Sandra Smith, and Martha MacCallum. According to “insiders,” Fox News wanted another woman to replace Kelly.
WRONG!
This morning the Daily Caller says, Tucker Carlson will replace Megyn Kelly during the 9 p.m. hour on Fox News.
Just days after Kelly announced she was leaving the network after 12 years for a position at NBC News, news broke that Fox News is replacing “The Kelly File” with Carlson’s new show “Tucker Carlson Tonight.” Though he had taken over Greta Van Susteren’s slot at 7 p.m. EST, Carlson will now move to 9 p.m. EST.
Yowza! Well, I can only speak for myself (Michele Hickford) but I’m a fan of Carlson’s and am pleased as punch he’s getting the nod.
