Notice anything DISTURBING about this runway model? We did…

Remember when glam-bam terrorist Dzhokhar Tsarnaev showed up on the cover of Rolling Stone to the delight of pubescent girls everywhere? How could someone with tousled hair and doe eyes be a killer?

So as we wrote here in 2014, it really wasn’t much of a shock that “sexy felon” Jeremy Meeks got an agent and fat modeling contract once he got out of the slammer.

In addition to his ELEVEN felony counts, history of convictions and $1 million bail, 30-year-old Meeks also had over 100,000 Facebook “likes” for his mugshot on the Stockton Police Department’s Facebook page and a “GoFundMe” page started by his mother to raise money for his defense.

Well, now he’s made his runway debut during New York fashion week. The New York Daily News reports, The 33-year-old blue-eyed hunk was one of several models designer Philipp Plein had walk in his show Monday night on day 5 of the bi-annual fashion event.

The former prisoner glared at the camera with his icy blue eyes as he made his way down the catwalk.

When we wrote about Meeks in 2014, Los Angeles criminal defense attorney Darren Kavinoky wasn’t optimistic about a bright modeling future for Meeks. He told Fox411: “It’s totally insane and it speaks poorly of where we are. We are so enamored with appearance and attractiveness that we are willing to totally disregard that we’re talking [about] somebody who is a criminal, someone who has a long rap sheet and a history of convictions.

“His current allegations involve weapons possession by somebody who society has deemed should not possess guns. If the allegations against him are true, he appears to be a very, very bad boy.”

But very, very bad boys are exactly what we seem to revere in our culture. Of course, only if they’re very, very handsome.

Let’s hope Meeks can make a new life for himself (and his wife and three children). Perhaps he will become an example of faith, forgiveness and redemption.

But isn’t it interesting how guns (and bombs) in the hands of someone attractive are conveniently overlooked by our shallow, clueless, morally-bankrupt culture? What a shame for James Holmes and Jared Loughner that they came up short in the looks department. No one is hoping for their release. No one is trying to make up excuses for their criminal (and deranged behavior).

Bummer for these guys. Too ugly for sympathy.

But if you’re hot, with sexy tattoos or tousled hair, you can get away with almost anything. It’s a terrible indictment of how far our culture has declined that we’re not just celebrating immorality (that’s SO Miley Cyrus) but now violence, destruction and death.

God help us.
