Well, she seems to have avoided a Secret Service investigation for proclaiming her terroristic desire to ‘blow up the White House” at last Saturday’s pink hat march, but that doesn’t mean it’s all smooth sailing for Madonna (who demonstrated it’s not just black lives that matter, but also black p***ies - as she wore a black hat instead of pink).
In any event, Madonna is now finding herself the target of a radio blackout.
A Texas radio station has decided to ban all Madonna songs from their airwaves because the singer has “shown un-American sentiments.”
HITS 105 said their decision to remove Madonna songs from their programming “indefinitely” came after the singer’s comments about “blowing up the White House” at the Women’s March on Saturday “In addition to ‘F-bombs’ in her speech, Madonna talked about how upset the election results had made her including her now infamous…’Yes, I have thought an awful lot about blowing up the White House,’ comments,” HITS 105 said in a statement on their Facebook page.
Their general manager, Terry Thomas, added “banning all Madonna songs at HITS 105 is not a matter of politics, it’s a matter of patriotism. It just feels wrong to us to be playing Madonna songs and paying her royalties when the artist has shown un-American sentiments.”
Thomas then urged all radio stations to take “their lead” and send a “powerful economic message to Madonna.”
It seems Madonna has been getting a powerful economic message for the last few decades anyway. Check out the nose dive in sales for her most recent albums.
And her movies? Like the 1989 film “Bloodhounds of Broadway” with a budget of $26 million that generated just $43,671 at the box office. Or the 1993 film “Dangerous Game” which cost $10 million to make but took in only $23,671?
Maybe that’s why Madonna so “angry” these days. Sucks to be culturally irrelevant right now, doesn’t it?
