Just in: Two more MAJOR retailers DUMP Trump merchandise

People were concerned about how President Trump would divest himself of his various businesses to avoid conflicts of interest once he was in office.

Well, it appears some businesses are divesting HIM. Nordstrom dumped Ivanka Trump’s merchandise last week with Reuters reporting sales of her line of clothing and shoes fell by nearly one-third in the past fiscal year, with sharp drops in sales in the weeks before her father Donald Trump was elected president, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday.

And as of Friday, Shannon Coulter, the activist behind the #GrabYourWallet boycott movement noted that Sears and Kmart have quietly stopped selling Trump Home products.

Per Breitbart, Sears sold 19 Trump Home items on their website and Kmart sold 13 Trump Home items on their website as of Tuesday.

But Coulter noted as of Friday, the items had vanished.

“As part of the company’s initiative to optimize its online product assortment, we constantly refine that assortment to focus on our most profitable items,” a Sears Holdings spokesperson told Business Insider. “Amid that streamlining effort, 31 Trump Home items were among the items removed online this week. Products from the line are still offered online via third-party Marketplace vendors.”

Beyond Sears, Kmart, and Nordstrom, add TJ Maxx and Marshalls to the list, which last week told store employees to trash any signs specifically promoting Ivanka’s merchandise and mix it in with other displays.

While there might be a backlash against Trump, there might also be a “forwardlash.” Remember when the LGBTQwhatever community tried to boycott Chick-fil-A? Sales went up.

Of course chicken sandwiches and waffle-cut fries aren’t subject to the whims of the fashion. We all know a good crispy tender will never go out of style.
