Wednesday was the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, a day that was filled with unspeakable horror, death, destruction, and marked our entrance into World War II, where our nation helped prevent one of the worst tyrants in human history from taking over the world.
Such a day should be one of pride in country, a time set aside to remember the lives lost that day and to honor the sacrifice of the men and women who served.
Unfortunately, not everyone supports their home country and the wonderful people who give of themselves to preserve our freedom and way of life — a fact two veterans discovered after finding something horrible outside their places of business.
TheBlaze is reporting, Two Bakersfield, California, gym owners were shocked to find that a pair of American flags they hung outside of their businesses were burned and destroyed by vandals. The disturbing act was committed on the 75th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack, and worse still, the gym owners are both military veterans.
Neal Lyday posted pictures of the aftermath on Facebook:
More from Bakersfield Now:[Lyday’s business neighbor Dicky] Mulyana said it must have happened overnight between when he left at 8:30 and when he got back at 4:30 Wednesday morning.
And it wasn’t just his flag. In the same complex on Downing Avenue and Alken Street, the flag outside Neal Lyday’s gym was also burned
Look, if an individual wants to burn their own flag as a form of protest against a policy position, that’s one thing. Destroying someone else’s property, however, is absolutely deplorable, disgusting, and illegal.
You aren’t protesting by ruining someone else’s flag. You’re committing a crime, and as such, the individual responsible should be punished accordingly. If they’re ever caught that is.
The immorality of the left knows no bounds.
