Leftists are continuing to whine over Donald Trump winning the presidency, a fact they’d do well to move past, because, at this point, it’s a done deal.
It’s okay to protest against the policies of the president — conservatives did for almost an entire decade — but there’s a difference between the airing of grievances and just throwing temper tantrums.
The latest protest from the left is against Uber, simply because its CEO’s supports the president’s ideas on labor practices. Clearly, the left isn’t letting a good “crisis” go to waste!

Anti-Donald Trump protesters were found chained to the entrance doors of Uber’s headquarters this past Friday as a protest began over Uber’s CEO’s support of the president regarding labor practices. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick was named to Trump’s business advisory team during the transition between the election and Trump’s swearing in.
In a statement, Uber said: “As a company we’re committed to working with government on issues that affect riders, drivers and the cities where we operate. Just as we worked with the Obama Administration, we’ll work with the Trump Administration, too.” The protesters’ concern was over the privately-valued start-up’s long-running legal fight to keep its drivers independent contractors rather than employees. This has been a position that has been contested by labor activists and some of its drivers, who maintain Uber is withholding benefits due employees. Uber argues its low cost rides rely on the contractor model and its drivers prefer the flexibility.Here are some reactions from social media concerning the trending hashtag.

It doesn’t really get any more lazy than hashtag activism does it? Yet that’s what the latest generation of social justice warriors have become famous for.
While a powerful tool, using social media as a trendy way to stand up for some “cause” they claim to believe in does nothing if done all while wearing footed jammies in the comfort of their living room.
It’s perfectly acceptable to protest against a policy you disagree with, but at least have the courage to stand boldly in public and let your voice be heard instead of hiding behind a screen.
