It isn’t easy to be a Trump right now, especially when your name is associated with the leader of the free world, and rabid, crazy journalists are consumed with the idea of destroying him and his administration, no matter the cost.

With leftists just itching to find dirt on anyone belonging to the Trump family — his children included — it’s a rare sight to see a progressive defend them, yet that’s precisely what happened on “The View” of all places.

Shockingly, co-host Whoopi Goldberg — the last person on the planet you would think would come to the rescue of a Trump — defended the president’s daughter, Tiffany, after she was dissed during New York’s Fashion Week, as not a single soul sat next to her during the event.

Fox News is reporting:

“You know what, Tiffany, I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows. I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m coming to sit with you,” she said on the show. “Because nobody’s talking politics. You’re looking at fashion! She doesn’t want to talk about her dad! She’s looking at the fashion!”

It is possible to set aside political differences and just function as decent human beings after all.

Who knew?

Our country has become far too divided, far too polarized over this past election, and regardless of where you stand politically, it’s time for everyone to look beyond this junk and remember that at the end of the day, we’re all human beings who have to share the same country, the same planet.

We can passionately disagree, and hotly debate important issues without actually hating each other. In fact, folks who get together from different worldviews and speak with each other out of equal respect often have the most productive and life changing conversations, pushing genuine progress forward.

Let’s hope that Whoopi sticks to her word and sits next to Tiffany at these shows and demonstrates what real unity — unity around the human condition — looks like for both sides of the aisle.
