Megyn interviews Putin in show debut; NO ONE expected what happens next…

The post-Fox News life is off to a rocky start for Megyn Kelly.

During a panel discussion on Friday which Kelly was moderating, Russian president Vladimir Putin became so angry at her questions about Russian election interference Friday that he pulled his ear piece out on two occasions.

Kelly later sat down with Putin for a one-on-one interview in her brand new show, “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly,” during which she further questioned him about allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. And in that interview, Putin dominated.

An exchange about Michael Flynn’s resignation following his undisclosed meeting with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak went as follows:

Kelly: “You’ve said that your ambassador, Kislyak, was just doing his job, right? So, what exactly was discussed in those meetings?”

Putin:”There were no meetings. I — you understand? There were no meetings. When I saw this, my jaw dropped.”

Kelly: “No meetings between Ambassador Kislyak and anybody from the Trump campaign?”

Putin: “I have no idea. I’m being completely honest with you. I don’t know. The routine job of an ambassador — do you think that from all over the world or from the United States, the ambassador reports to me every day who he meets with or what they discuss there?

Putin then added, “That’s complete nonsense. Do you even understand what you’re asking or not?”

During another point in the interview, Putin quipped in a Trumpesque fashion, “you people are so creative over there. Good job. Your lives must be boring.”

And then another tough jab: “Have you all lost your senses over there?”

Per Newsday, The one-on-one followed. Kelly asked the right questions — Russian cyber interference, former U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, and so on — and he overwhelmed her with word clouds. “What fingerprints or hoof-prints or horn-prints? What are you talking about? IP addresses? They can be invented, you know? There are a lot of specialists who can even make it so it comes from your home IP address as if your 3-year-old daughter carried out the attack.”

Kelly stared at him, and no followup came, despite an obvious one: What the heck is a “horn-print?”

You can see the whole segment here.

Maybe “horn print” is the actual secret meaning of “covfefe?”

Well, that was wholly uninspiring. Fox News appears to have lost less talent than initially estimated.
