Sheryl Crow delivers an epic response to Kid Rock’s possible Senate campaign

Kid Rock may be able to out-curse Anthony Scaramucci, out-drink John Boehner, and party harder than Bill Clinton. But one thing he may not be able to do is forget Sheryl Crow.

As the Detroit Free Press reports:

Kid Rock’s flirtations with a possible 2018 run for the U.S. Senate certainly got the attention of a lot of politicians and fans — especially in his home state of Michigan.

But it’s now also gotten the attention of one of his rumored ex-girlfriends and fellow music artist, Sheryl Crow, who has some words, er lyrics, for Robert Richie, aka Kid Rock.

Crow, who co-wrote the hit “Picture” on which she duets with Rock, was recently inspired by a tweet from Twitter user @TunaCatsup, who seems to be under the impression that Crow was dead.

Crow’s response was epic.

Rather than tweeting a correction to @TunaCatsup or letting the matter go, Crow performed a nice ditty titled “Dude. I’m still alive.”

The video can be seen here:

In this song Crow sings:

If Kid Rock runs for Senate
I wouldn’t be surprised.
But not over my dead body
Cause, Dude I’m still alive

Ms. Crow also comments on Kid Rock’s possible senate campaign, and her comments, while not glowing, are surprisingly positive, given that he is a Republican and her politics are so leftist that she once went on a “Stop Global Warming College Tour” during which she told told her audience “only one square [of toilet paper] per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required.”

Here she sings:

Maybe Mr. Ritchie
can fix some things for us
like making sure Detroit is set
With an electric tour bus.

Hopefully getting an electric tour bus for a city with an unemployment rate roughly 75% higher than the national average won’t be too great of a priority for a Senator Rock, but rather getting that number down.

Crow goes on to make a crack about Rock’s legendary rock-and-roll lifestyle, especially as it might compare to the often much older crowd at the Senate.

At least the guy’s not 90
in his 32nd term
but a pole in the Lincoln bedroom
is bound to make some people squirm

The full lyrics can be found here:

As you can see, Crow ends the song with a few shots at President Trump, including a criticism of his ‘toilet-tweeting.’

It is not known how Crow would know whether or not Trump tweets on the toilet, even in a White House that leaks as often as this one. Nor is it known why Crow is so obsessed with other people’s bathroom habits.

But one should not be surprised that if Rock does become Michigan’s next U.S. senator, Sheryl Crow might find herself appointed State Bathroom Monitor.
