One of the great aspects of our Constitutional Republic is the right our citizens have to free speech and expression, to assemble and to petition our government for redress of grievances. It’s something that assuredly separates Western civilization and classical liberal democracies from all others. This is something we cherish, but these rights also come with an immense responsibility, and that is where I take issue.
I do not believe it’s peaceful to have some member of the entertainment elite speaking of conducting violence against the incoming president and the people’s residence, the White House.
As reported by CNN, “More than one million people marched through Washington, D.C., and other American cities Saturday to show support for women’s rights and express their discontent over the election of President Donald Trump.
The Women’s March drew members of Congress, world-famous actresses and countless citizens like Joanne Gascoyne of Albany, New York a 78-year-old retired teacher who traveled to New York City with her daughter and two granddaughters.
“I feel people are afraid to vote for a woman for president,” Gascoyne said. “I’m really here for women and to inspire my granddaughters to carry on.”
The protesters came out for a range of reasons, including immigration, health care and a general antipathy to Trump. But most said they wanted to show support for women and feared that there will be attacks on women’s rights during Trump’s presidency. On the mall, filmmaker Michael Moore, feminist icon Gloria Steinem, musician Alicia Keys and other speakers emotionally attacked Trump for his views on immigration, Muslims and women. “It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f-k up,” Madonna told the crowd. “It seems as though we had all slipped into a false sense of comfort, that justice would prevail and that good would win in the end.”First, let me say to Ms. Gascoyne, this nation is not “afraid” to elect a woman president. But why must we make the issue of someone being president based on their identity, color of skin, or gender…and not about their character?
Eight years ago we had to vote for Barack Obama because he was black, and nothing, and I mean no policy or principled argument could be made without being castigated as a racist, which permeates to this day. Ma’am, we need a good president. It’s not about breaking glass ceilings, this has to be about individuals who will restore our Constitutional Republic.
And Ms. Gascoyne, as a former teacher, you should be teaching your daughters and granddaughters what that means. Also, as a former teacher, ma’am, don’t you think it’s a very important women’s right for young mothers in inner city communities be able to have a choice for educating their children? I mean seriously, is the only women’s right, her only choice, is to choose to kill our future generations, and not be allowed to choose the education of our future generations?
And as a former teacher ma’am, perhaps you should be teaching people about the very racist rhetoric of the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger. It’s amazing to me that the left wants to demonize one Steve Bannon as a racist and a white supremacist, yet y’all celebrate the very person who created a movement to rid society of certain undesirables and was a very well known supporter of the Ku Klux Klan — an organization started by the Democrat party.
Where was Alicia Keys when Barack Obama cancelled the DC school voucher program for deserving young minority kids? Hmm, I suppose that’s not an important right for women to want the best possible education opportunity for their kids. Needless to say, there was no women’s march since after all, it was Obama, and he could do no wrong.
How many women marched in Chicago because of the incessant and needless shootings and murders of young black kids? Let’s be honest, there were over 700 killings in Chicago last year, far more than in the combat zones of Iraq and Afghanistan.
We have women who live in these areas held hostage to the violence and forced to live in fear because they don’t have the constitutional right to protect and defend themselves and their families.
Where was the women’s march for that right, such as the young black mother from Philadelphia who faced prison because she had a lawful carry permit that wasn’t accepted in New Jersey? She willfully declared the weapon to a police officer during a stop. She’s a single mother with two young children, and had been robbed previously…who is marching for her?
This is why the National Rifle Association will get national reciprocity passed in this year in order to ensure Americans, particularly American women, are not victims. And consider this, this women’s march was about immigration — where was the march for Kate Steinle? You know, the young San Francisco woman who was shot to death by a criminal illegal alien who had been deported countless times…and to think, it was the Senate Democrats who blocked legislation for mandatory sentencing of deported illegals who return and commit crimes against Americans. And it is Democrat mayors who stand in full support of “sanctuary cities” for criminal illegal aliens, all to the danger for law abiding Americans, women.
And then there is the idiotic statement from Madonna, “It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f-k up”. I must recommend she read Proverbs 17:28. What about the Obama-inspired darkness that has befallen the world known as the Islamic State? Where was Madonna’s angst and anger towards those savage barbaric Islamic jihadists who were taking little girls, raping them, and selling them as sex slaves, as was testified before Senate by a young Yazidi girl?
What about those girls who are victims of the practice of female genital mutilation and honor killings — some having even occurred here in America. Where was the women’s march for them? Where is the global feminist movement for women’s rights in the Muslim world, not to mention the fact that women are still stoned to death and hanged if they cannot come up with the archaic Islamic jurisprudence rule of three males to testify for them in a rape case.
I could go on with more cases and instances of hypocrisy but the point has been made. The women’s marches that came a day after the inauguration of President Donald J. Trump were not about women, it was all about the progressive socialist ideological agenda. The hypocrisy is just too blatant. There was no mention of the three female Jewish IDF Soldiers who were run over by an Islamic jihadist just two weeks ago.
These folks don’t care about rights, they care about power, and there is more to what women truly want than just killing babies. The election is over, and if you pay attention to the exit polls, Donald Trump received quite a bit of support from women, three in our household for starts.
And the West women were appalled at the women’s march and spoke to me Sunday morning as we headed to church about the abject hypocrisy. Women are suffering across the globe, and right here in America, but it’s because of the failure of the progressive socialist policies of the past eight years. And that’s why Hillary Clinton didn’t win. Get over it, and accept that truth. This march could have been focused on the real issues facing not just women, but all of America, it fell short and proved to be nothing more than a partisan political rally. And therefore, in the end, it had no credibility, regardless of what CNN and MSNBC portrayed.
Sadly, it all comes back to those two words that captures the left and all its faults, failures, and shortcomings. Y’all stink.
