By the end of the week we will have a new president — as matter of fact, as of writing this, it’s exactly 4 days, 5 hours, 24 minutes and 35 seconds. But as many of us in America are tuning into the NFL playoffs or NCAA college basketball, there are others plotting.
We shared with you the mindset of Barack H. Obama in a piece about the changing of the Cuban migration policy known as “wet foot, dry foot.” Obama stated that “I am president until January 20th and I will do what I think it right.” Obama certainly believes the Cuban people are faring well under the tyranny of the communist Raul Castro regime, and has sanctioned that system of rule. I guess for Obama, that’s what he believes is right.
We must ask ourselves in these final four days, who will be getting a pardon, a commutation of their sentence?
We’ve shared with y’all here that Army deserter Bowe Bergdahl sent a letter to Obama asking for a pardon. And there’s rumor that incarcerated Army Private Bradley Manning, who suffers from gender dysphoria and masquerades as someone named Chelsea, is a potential candidate for a sentence commutation.
Funny, I suppose we can forget your Army First Lieutenant Clint Lorance receiving consideration from Obama — after all, Bergdahl is the progressive socialist left definition of “serving with honor and distinction.” Lorance sadly is not. And I would surmise that Obama is not done unleashing more drug offenders i.e. criminals, back onto our already dangerous streets. Then again, why should Obama care? He’ll be living in Georgetown with taxpayer-funded Secret Service protection for the rest of his life.
But on Sunday, as we were cheering our favorite teams, there was a conference in Paris, regarding Israel. As reported by World Israel News, “The Paris peace summit, despite concern that it could end with another damaging anti-Israel resolution, turned out “flat as a failed soufflé” Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesman Emanuel Nahshon said. The conclusion of Sunday’s Mideast peace conference in Paris urged Israelis and Palestinians to “officially restate their commitment to the two-state solution.” It also warned both sides against taking one-sided actions that could hurt talks, an apparent reference to Israeli settlement building in eastern Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Despite concern in Israel that the conference could end with another damaging resolution against the Jewish state, nothing of the sort occurred.
Earlier in the day, US Secretary of State John Kerry – who had defended the Obama administration’s abstention from UN Security Council Resolution 2334, condemning Israeli settlements and had led the failed Israeli-Palestinian peace negotiations – assured Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the US would oppose any further resolutions based on conclusions at the summit. Nonetheless, the summit, with the participation of over 70 countries, ended with a message to Israel as well as to the incoming US administration that the only viable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, according to international opinion, is a two-state solution. “The two-state solution is still the objective of the international community for the future,” French President Francois Hollande said. “With this conference I wanted to inscribe the two-state solution on the international agenda.”
We shared with you our assessment of this conference when we learned of it. And why would this happen in the final week of the Obama administration? And why would the Obama administration not come out and condemn this gathering, instead of the wink wink response?
This is yet another attempt by an outgoing group of failures to tie the hands of the incoming Trump administration. The folly of the “two-state” solution is simple: there is only one State, recognized, and established, and that is Israel. There is no such thing as a “Palestinian” state, as we’ve often shared the origination of the root word, Palaestinia, which came from Roman Emperor Hadrian, not Yasser Arafat. And nothing can go forward unless there is a willing peace partner, for which there is none as Fatah is no better than Hamas. They just wear slicker suits, but are still an Islamic terrorist organization. And being a terrorist organization, Fatah knows no other way to get what they want outside of intimidation and violence. And why not, because we’ve shown nothing but cowardice at their rantings.
“Another Palestinian official came out with a dramatic warning against Trump’s plan to move the US embassy to Jerusalem, saying it would open “the gates of hell.”
A member of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah party warned on Saturday night that a major conflagration would break out all over the world if US President-elect Donald Trump follows through with his plan to move the US embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. “All chances for peace and stability will be lost,” said Fatah Revolutionary Council member Osama Qawasmeh. “The gates of hell will be opened in the region and the world.”
He also contended that “the free people of the world will not permit the passage of such a step.” Qawasmeh’s remarks follow similar warnings from other Palestinian Authority officials. Most recently, the PA chairman said he will consider rescinding the PA’s recognition of the state of Israel’s existence if President-elect Trump follows through with his plan. Meanwhile, French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault referred to Trump’s plan to relocate the US embassy as a ‘provocation’ during the Paris summit on Sunday focusing on implementing a two-state solution between Israel and the PA.”
Let me make something very clear here: the capitol of the Jewish State of Israel is Jerusalem. That is where their seat of government resides, just as Washington DC is the capitol of America. The Israelis should not have anyone determining where their capitol is, and certainly the threats of suit-wearing Islamic jihadists should not make other nations determine their relations with Israel.
And America needs to steel its spine — something missing in the past eight years — and stare down these violent, savage, barbaric jackasses who still hold a belief that they can threaten our nation. Finally, what does it take for the French to find a set of cojones,? How many more Islamic terror attacks must they suffer before they grow a pair? ”Provocation?” WTF! What the heck do you call what ISIS did?
This is why the Trump administration must have serious actors, steely-eyed men and women in his foreign policy, defense, and national security teams. He needs folks that do not blink, folks who will look Mahmoud Abbas or Osama Qawasmeh eye-to-eye and tell them simply, “go for it” and suffer the consequences.
Fatah, Hamas, and the cacophony of Islamic terror groups need to get owned. They need to know their belligerence will no longer draw fear. And we need an America that shows folks like French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault that it’s ok to stand up like a freaking man, and not kneel like a punk.
If you haven’t been paying attention, even the Chinese are popping off about the “One China” policy that considers Taiwan as a breakaway province. Who says we must be chained to these concepts? Who are the Chinese, the French, the nomadic Arabs of the Middle East who refused the “two-State” solution of the United Nations, Israel and Jordan?
It’s time we stood up to the despots, dictators, autocrats, and Islamic theocrats and firmly stated, there is a new crew in town. And that’s not about warmongering, it’s about having the character, courage and commitment to not be pushed about, like the Obama administration who tried to make us feel good about surrendering, and being killed by jihadists.
January 20th cannot come soon enough, but we must be aware of the shenanigans and distractions that will come in these final days. In the end, we will usher out cowardice, and welcome back American intestinal fortitude.
