Top Dem lets slip TRUE agenda on gun control…and it’s BRUTAL

Every now and then liberals allow the truth about who they are and what they believe to slip out. Often times that truth is a “good enough for me but not for thee” mentality. It explains such things as how they can feign concern over carbon footprints while living in 8,000 square foot houses. They deserve or need those mansions but the rest of us? Not so much.

Nowhere is their “we deserve it but no one else” attitude more prominent than in the gun control debate.

In an interview last year with the Daily Caller Congressman Charles Rangel (D-NY) said “Law-abiding citizens just shouldn’t have to carry a gun.” When the reporter then pointed out that he and other members of Congress are protected by guns to which Rangel replied “Well that’s a little different. I think we deserve–I think we need to be protected down here.

They deserve protection but not their constituents? “Good enough for me but not for thee.”

Which brings us to the latest revelation by one of Congress’ most desirous gun-grabbers, Senator Diane Feinstein. Feinstein, who in an interview on 60 Minutes 23 years ago (yes, she’s been there that long) infamously said she’d like to pass a law to round up everbody’s guns, appeared on Face the Nation this weekend and dropped some stunning quotes. One 73-second-long segment in particular was picked up and posted by CNS News and it’s downright amazing:

“Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who sponsored legislation banning “assault” weapons for ten years in 1993, said on Sunday that no American should feel comfortable with concealed carry permits.

John Dickerson, host of CBS’s “Face the Nation,” asked Feinstein about the National Rifle Association’s push for Congress to pass a bill allowing national concealed-carry reciprocity.

The legislation would allow people with concealed carry permits in one state to carry their guns legally in other states that allow concealed carry. Feinstein gave a resounding NO:

“My opinion of that bill is terrible. We want every American to feel comfortable packing a concealed weapon? Around the country?”

Ok, so if not every American which Americans? Is it your job to determine who should or should not feel comfortable concealed carrying, Senator? And if so, how do you propose doing that?

The lunacy continues:

“I represent 40 million Californians, and I can say without hesitation, Californians do not want concealed carry,” Feinstein said.”

This woman can speak for 40 million people? She now somehow knows what every one of her constituents think? There are no Californians in favor of concealed carry? It’d be fascinating to see the survey or polling data that came back with a 40,000,000 to 0 result.

Feinstein then places her brilliant Constitutional knowledge on display:
“Feinstein said she does not believe concealed carry is protected by the Constitution. “I am saying that the state I represent would not want any part of that, nor should any American.”

Nor should ANY American? Who died and made you queen, lady? Who is this left coast elitist to tell all Americans what we should or should not want or be comfortable with?

And finally here’s the wonderful hypocrisy we’ve all been waiting for:
“You just make the situation worse. You let somebody with a weapon who may do you harm get close to you. Why would you want that?” she asked.”

Why would you want a person near you who is carrying a weapon? Ah, kind of like the people you have near YOU all the time, Senator? You live a life of being protected by men and women armed with guns virtually every hour of every day. Why is it ok for you to have “people near you who are carrying a weapon” but not ok for the rest of us?

Answer? The liberal belief that its “good enough for me but not for thee.”
