The NFL as an organization is still not holding players accountable for violating their policy about standing for the national anthem, a move that is slowly bleeding them dry in the ratings department each week as more and more fans opt to boycott the league this season.

While professional football has fallen to the third most popular sport amongst Americans behind baseball and basketball after the shenanigans involving players protesting during the anthem, that hasn’t stopped the NFL from allowing such behavior to continue, regardless of the fact that it disrespects veterans who’ve given their lives to the cause of liberty.

Now a group on Facebook is calling for people to not tune in to games being played on Veteran’s Day and they’re getting quite a bit of support.

TheBlaze is reporting, A Facebook group is calling for people to not watch and not listen to NFL games on Veterans Day in a counter-protest to the national anthem demonstrations.

The “Boycott the NFL” Facebook page has been “liked” by nearly 120,000, and is being followed by more than 122,000 people. The open community group simply explains, “Until millionaire football players stop protesting the National Anthem of the United States, we’ll be here.”

“We love football, but we love our flag more,” it concludes.

The group wants members to not watch or listen to any NFL games on November 12 and 13 in deference to Veterans Day. This would affect all Sunday NFL games and the Monday Night Football game.

It seems the movement against these protests is continuing to build as more and more American viewers make it known they do not want politics mixed with their professional sports.

The issue isn’t whether football players have the right to protest. Of course they do. The issue is when is the appropriate time to do so, and it seems the vast majority agree during the National Anthem is not the proper time.

We’ll have to wait and see if the NFL ever responds to the fans they are losing, or if they would rather look “woke” to the culture makers in society.
