Ambassador Chris Stevens’ last words in Benghazi finally revealed

No true American has yet forgotten the horrific tragedy that played out before our eyes on September 11, 2012 as four Americans were murdered in cold blood by Islamic terrorists in Benghazi. The attack lasted 13 hours, after which then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton attempted to cover the incident up by blaming the attack on a YouTube video.

The families of the victims who lost their lives — including the loved ones of Ambassador Christopher Stevens — have been waiting for a long, long time for those responsible for this disaster to be held accountable for their actions, but so far, that has yet to happen.

However, what has happened for the first time since the attack took place is that the last words of Ambassador Stevens have been released after testimony was given in Washington against terrorist Ahmed Abu Khattala, the man accused of putting together the attack.

The Daily Wire is reporting:

Diplomatic Security Special Agent Scott Wickland, the ambassador’s bodyguard, revealed Stevens’ harrowing last words:

“When I die, you need to pick up my gun and keep fighting,” Stevens told Wickland.

Independent Journal Review reports on Wickland’s testimony:

In his testimony, Wickland admitted he didn’t know if he was going to survive the attack. He also described the heartbreaking moment he lost Stevens and U.S. State Department staffer Sean Smith.

Wickland said he saw Stevens and Smith crawling behind him as they searched for a bedroom with a window to escape out of. When he exited the window, he was alone.

Vomiting from the smoke and taking fire, Wickland climbed out of the room and pulled the ladder up.

“That’s when I knew [Stevens and Smith] were dead,” Wickland recalled.

Utterly heartbreaking.

Abu Khattala pleaded not guilty to all counts, including charges for murder, attempted murder, material support of terrorism, and destruction of U.S. facilities.

While it’s obviously imperative that the actual terrorists who carried out this horrific attack on our citizens be brought to justice for their actions, it’s just as important for Hillary Clinton to be held to account as well.

Clinton attempted to help cover up this incident in order to avoid damaging a sitting president’s reputation during an election year. She placed Obama and his campaign above the truth, and above the safety and security of American citizens.

This is unacceptable.

Hopefully one day soon she’ll actually answer for what she did, especially her refusal to listen to repeated requests for additional security. It’s a travesty this hasn’t already happened.
