President Trump today underscored his recent remark at the United Nations that the United States — if forced — can, and will “totally destroy” North Korea, with a massive show of force.According to The Independent:
The US military has flown bombers close to North Korea to show Pyongyang that Donald Trump “has many military options to defeat any threat.”
The show of force follows a contentious week in which Mr Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un exchanged personal barbs over North Korea’s nuclear ambitions. The comments marked an escalation in rhetorical warfare that has already seen Mr Trump promise “fire and fury” if North Korea does not curb its pursuit of nuclear weapons that could hit America.
The display comes while North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong Ho took to the podium at the United Nations and warned that it is President Trump that is on a suicide mission."None other than Trump himself is on a suicide mission," North Korea's Ri Yong Ho says https://t.co/ItuTAPADlF pic.twitter.com/7NnquohQPz

Ri Yong Ho also fell back upon the typical deceit that North Korea only wants nuclear weapons to deter the United States: “The very reason the DPRK had to possess nuclear weapons is because of the U.S.”
Gone are the days of the ever-shifting “red line” posited by President Obama. This time we have a leader that isn’t afraid to show the world it is willing and capable of defending itself.
This is a developing story. Pertinent updates to come, as known.[Note: This post was written by dk. Find him online at the African American Conservatives (AACONS) website or AACONS on Twitter and Facebook]
