FBI, DHS: Here’s why Americans need to beware of the next Antifa attack

Lately, it seems the left-wing media has been beating us up with reports about how awful and evil the “alt-right” is. While they’re not necessarily wrong, they have — as usual — neglected to focus on their own side’s violent radicals: the infamous group known as Antifa.

Antifa members have been showing up at free speech rallies and protests, and violently assaulting the people in attendance — hoping to stir up as much trouble as possible as they continue to dabble in domestic terrorism.

And it doesn’t seem they’re going to be taking a break any time soon.

The Daily Caller reports:

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) warned violent attacks by the radical group antifa have increased, and more assaults could be on the way.

The DHS and the FBI have concluded that far-left “anarchist extremist” groups were mainly responsible for inciting violence at a number of public rallies, under the cause of opposing fascism, according to a Friday Politico report.

“It was in that period [as the Trump campaign emerged] that we really became aware of them,” a senior law enforcement official told Politico. “These antifa guys were showing up with weapons, shields and bike helmets and just beating the shit out of people. They’re using Molotov cocktails, they’re starting fires, they’re throwing bombs and smashing windows.”

It seems someone’s realizing that Trump’s comments after Charlottesville weren’t that outrageous, after all.

Additionally, both the FBI and DHS have officially classified Antifa activities as “domestic terrorist violence.” And a new report says dozens of armed Antifa groups have emerged, and that their clashes with conservatives and the far-right have become more frequent and more violent.

Politico reports:

They claim to have no leader and no hierarchy, but authorities following them believe they are organized via decentralized networks of cells that coordinate with each other. Often, they spend weeks planning for violence at upcoming events, according to the April 2016 DHS and FBI report entitled “Baseline Comparison of US and Foreign Anarchist Extremist Movements.”

Just last month, some Antifa goons assaulted a black conservative student attending a vigil for Charlottesville victims.

Via the Washington Times:

Caleb Slater, the president of the Ithaca College Republicans in New York, was wearing a Young America’s Foundation hat at a Sunday evening vigil for Heather Heyer, the woman who was killed when a suspected white nationalist drove his car into a crowd of protesters in Charlottesville on Saturday.

The vigil was organized by the Syracuse, New York, chapter of Black Lives Matter.

When masked members of the militant-left group Antifa saw Mr. Slater, they approached him, asked him about his hat, told him to leave and attacked him.

He said his assailants grabbed him by his clothes, choked him with his camera strap and pushed him into the street.

Or how about the time this wonderful group of individuals attacked one of their one simply because he looked like a neo-Nazi?

No matter how you cut it, this is a radical group participating in violent activity to push a political agenda, which is the definition of a terrorist organization.

The law needs to come down hard on these folks to discourage further acts of violence that could result in more injury or even death.
