If there’s one thing we can count on the liberal progressive media to do, it’s to protect Barack Obama and his administration. They’re totally focused on undermining the Trump administration and doing anything and everything they can to derail its success. And President Trump should steer clear of their ambushes.

The flip side is that, slowly but surely, the truth always escapes and is revealed — even though much of the truth was suspected over the past eight years.

As reported by the astute Adam Kredo over at the Free Beacon,

The Obama administration likely hid information about Iran illicitly ferrying militants into Syria on commercial aircraft in order to promote the landmark nuclear deal and foster multi-billion dollar business deals with Tehran’s state-controlled airline sector, according to lawmakers and other sources familiar with the matter.

The Washington Free Beacon first disclosed last week that congressional leaders are calling for an investigation into Iran for using its state-controlled air carrier, Iran Air, to ferry militant fighters into Syria, where they are taking up arms in defense of embattled President Bashar al-Assad. Photographs provided to Congress show Iran using Iran Air to ferry these soldiers between 2016 and 2017, in part when the Obama administration removed sanctions on Iran Air and promoted multi-billion dollars sales between the carrier and aircraft manufacturer Boeing, which is seeking to provide Iran Air with a fleet of new planes that many suspect will be used to carry terrorist fighters and weapons into regional hotspots.

Multiple senior Obama administration officials, including former secretary of state John Kerry, traveled the globe to promote trade with Iranian companies, including Iran Air; at the same time, Iran was found to be ferrying militants into Syria. Lawmakers and others suspect the Obama administration either hid or downplayed this information in order to preserve the nuclear deal.

“The Obama administration lifted sanctions against Iran Air as a political concession during nuclear negotiations with Iran, not because of any change in its activity,” Rep. Peter Roskam (R., Ill.), one of the lawmakers calling for an investigation into Iran’s use of commercial aircraft for military purposes, told the Free Beacon. “Iran Air continues to support the Iran-Assad war machine to this day, and the Trump administration must hold the airline accountable and work to stop them,” the lawmaker said.

We’ve shared information on these pages about the business collusion supported by the Obama administration that enabled Boeing to secure contracts with Iran Air. Now, I am certainly one who believes in the free market and trade, but for an American airplane manufacturer to, in essence, become a supplier of air transport platforms for Iran, is unconscionable.

We already know former Obama Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes admitted to lying to the media in order to build support for the JCPOA. And this wasn’t a treaty ratified constitutionally by our U.S. Senate; simply an executive agreement between Barack Obama and Iran — which is quite telling.

But what y’all should know is that the troops being ferried by Iran Air into Syria are members of the terrorist Iranian Revolutionary Guards and their Quds Force.

And what’s even more problematic is the support Iran has given the Chavez and Maduro regimes in Venezuela. We must face the possibility that Iran Air has not just been ferrying its Quds and Revolutionary Guard forces into Venezuela, in our hemisphere, but also its Islamic terrorist proxy army, Hezbollah.

To know that the Obama administration facilitated the employment of Iranian terrorist groups and armed forces should be appalling to us all … but sadly, there are those who will NEVER hold Barack Obama accountable for anything he did in concert with assisting our enemies and Islamic jihadism.

I remember a student asked me, after a speech last spring at the University of Memphis, why I referred to Barack Obama as an Islamist sympathizer. Obviously, that kid needs to stop reading and watching far-Left liberal progressive media outlets — or perhaps he doesn’t read at all, but just regurgitates the insidious talking points of the Left.

I find it so very perplexing that the Left will say President Donald Trump, in just seven months, is the greatest threat to our nation. I wonder what Rep. Maxine “Mad Max” Waters would say to all of this … surely it’s an impeachable offense to deceive the American people in order to aid and abet the enemy. Even Rep. Waters should be able to comprehend that Obama’s actions represent a violation of U.S. statutes and codes.

After all, he helped provide material support and comfort to the enemy — a high crime and misdemeanor. Of course, it’s a pipe dream to believe that will EVER happen. And therein lies another example of progressive socialist hypocrisy.

How in the heck does the Left look at themselves in the mirror and not seen the ugly and disfigured reflection indicative of their lack of character?

Impeachment? They want to impeach Donald Trump because he won an election? They want to talk about collusion with Russia, when it was Obama who clearly stated that he would “have more flexibility after my reelection”?

This is another example of Obama’s deceit and treason when it comes to Iran and the JCPOA. And it begs that deeper question: Who is it within the Trump administration that supports the JCPOA and has not nullified this folly?

The Iranians, courtesy of Barack Obama, have been allowed to make fools of us here in America. You can hate Donald Trump all you please, but that emotion isn’t warranted; it’s politically motivated. However, you can certainly justify your anger with Barack Obama who, for eight years, did everything he could to weaken our nation in the face of our enemies.

And if that image of our U.S. Navy sailors being forced to their knees at gunpoint by the Iranians doesn’t steam you, then no, you aren’t a red-blooded American … especially if you are of the ilk of men such as John Kerry, who thanked the Iranians for taking care of those sailors.
