Social justice warriors are back at it again over the Washington Redskins. Only instead of demanding that the owner changes his team’s name, this time they’re going after consumers. In this case, the littlest consumers around: elementary school students.

Administrators at a private school have banned all apparel with the logo and team name on it from their campus.

It seems these people will just never, ever let this go.

The head of the Green Acres School in North Bethesda told parents not to send their children to school wearing anything emblazoned with the logo and team name on it, calling it a “racial slur.”

The NY Post reports,

In the letter, Brown wrote that “the term ‘Redskin’ is a racial slur. Its use, whether intentional or not, can be deeply insulting and offensive. It is a term that demeans a group of people.

“Similarly,” Brown’s letter continued, “the team’s logo also can reasonably be viewed as racially demeaning. At best, the image is an ethnic stereotype that promotes cultural misunderstanding; at worst, it is intensely derogatory.”

Washington’s NFL franchise has been nicknamed the “Redskins” dating back to 1933, when the team was based in Boston. Recent years have seen a vocal movement to get the team to change its name because it is considered offensive to Native Americans.

“I feel strongly that wearing clothing with the name of our local football team or the logo — that those were really against our school’s mission and our diversity statement,” Brown told Fox 5 DC.

This will likely come as a shock to no one, but the Green Acres School considers itself a “national leader in progressive education.”

Never would’ve guessed that, considering the SJW-style limits placed on a student’s free speech at this institution of learning.

Granted, a school has the right to create a dress code or policy regarding fashion, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be criticized for it, and in this case it’s totally warranted.

Liberals put a lot of pressure on Redskins’ owner Daniel Snyder to change the name, but he has remained strong on his principles and has refused to even consider renaming the team.

With North Korea proving to be a major threat on the geopolitical stage, kids being murdered left and right here in America and ISIS still on the loose, this is the kind of thing liberals choose to focus on.

No wonder we’re in a mess.
