Liberal rag seriously wonders if serving in the U.S. military makes you racist

In the era of Donald Trump, the liberal media has completely done away with hiding their bias. For months, pundits and journalists have shown little problem with smearing Trump and his supporters as bigots. To them, racism is the only explanation for Trump’s policies and those that support them.

Of course, this shtick is nothing new for outlets like the Huffington Post. For years, the online publication has pumped out news that could only be described as left-wing propaganda. In fact, labeling Republicans as racists is kind of a tradition at Huffpo. Still, many considered the organization to be a respectable publication.

For those who still think the Huffington Post is respectable, consider their latest masterpiece. While others were blaming Trump for the racism in Charlottesville, the Huffington Post was even worse. How could it get worse, you ask? How about openly wondering if serving in the military turns you into a racist.

From Fox News:

The Huffington Post published an op-ed mulling over whether serving in the American military makes soldiers racists.

The author notes that veterans of the Iraq-Afghan war were among the white nationalists who rioted in Charlottesville, Virginia, leaving one counter-protester dead. One Iraq-Afghan veteran was one of the rally leaders.

“To learn that these brave men and women over there return with a new-found hatred for those different from them, especially after their mission is one of liberation from those who kill and persecute anyone of different faiths/beliefs, is quite disturbing to say the least.”

However, veteran’s groups condemned the violence in Charlottesville:

We “represent the diversity of America and have stood together against our enemies overseas. And we will stand together now against intolerance, hatred and violence here now at home,” said Paul Rieckhoff, founder of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America.

“If there are any VVA members who harbor any of these bigoted ideologies, they are encouraged to turn in their membership cards,” said John Rowan, national president of Vietnam Veterans of America.

In attacking the military, Huffpo exposed the hypocrisy of their position. While there is no doubt that some veterans hold reprehensible views, so too does every other segment of the population. Certainly, the actions of a few do not represent the overall character of the brave men and women who serve in our armed forces.

Sadly, the liberal media will attack anyone if they think it serves their narrative. It’s no secret that the majority of the armed forces lean Republican. For that, HuffPo found them worthy of slander.
