If you’ve had the intestinal fortitude to follow former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign, no doubt you’ve noticed her attempts to position herself as a third term of President Barack Obama.
Apparently, Hillary’s own right-hand stumper, former President Bill Clinton, is having a little trouble staying on message. Perhaps he’s having flashbacks to 2008? Whatever the reason, he just slammed Obama’s “awful legacy” — expressing pretty much exactly what we’ve all been saying.
Via the Washington Examiner:
For the second time this month, Bill Clinton has slammed President Obama’s economy, the latest a junking of his whole seven-plus years in office as an “awful legacy.”
In comments video-captured and distributed by the Republican National Committee, Hillary Clinton’s hubby said, “If you believe we’ve finally come to the point where we can put the awful legacy of the last eight years behind us, and the seven years before that…then you should vote for her.”
A quick calculation of his years would mean that the gravy years were when he was president.
Earlier this month, he slammed Obama for exaggerating his economic successes, saying, “Millions and millions and millions and millions of people look at that pretty picture of America he painted and they cannot find themselves in it to save their lives.”
Tell your liberal friends, who still have Obama stars in their eyes, to put that in a pipe and smoke it!
Someone might want to rein in the former president and remind him of Obama’s critical role in keeping his wife out of jail. Oh, wait… Hmmm, we may have just hit upon something there.
Of course, we vehemently diverge with the former president when it comes to how to correct Obama’s awful legacy. As the Queen herself is desperate to convey, Hillary Clinton indeed would be a third term of Obama — and a disaster for our republic. We absolutely can not afford another four or, God forbid, eight years of progressive policies.
