Wow! It’s official: Hillary Clinton is ending her 2016 bid for the Democrat nomination for president of the United States. The formal declaration will be forthcoming by the end of the week. The news comes as a shock, but had to be expected concerning her scandal over the use of a personal private server in her private home that contained classified emails. Ok, you folks may be laughing but I am not, because a decision has just been made by the U.S. Department of the Navy that seals the fate of Hillary Clinton — unless we fully accept liberal progressive hypocrisy.
As reported by the Washington Post, “A senior Navy Department official decided Monday to force a Marine Corps officer out of the service for his handling of classified information, three years after he was first investigated after sending a warning to deployed colleagues about an Afghan police chief whose servant later killed three Marines.
Maj. Jason Brezler will be separated from the Marine Corps following a decision by acting Assistant Navy Secretary Scott Lutterloh, said Michael Bowe, Brezler’s attorney. The case grabbed attention in Congress and among highly decorated senior officers in the military, some of whom advocated on Brezler’s behalf to let him stay in the Marines. Other service officials maintained that retired Gen. James F. Amos, the Marine Corps’ top officer when the investigation began, and other generals involved handled the case well.
“We will now proceed to a real court and prove that Commandant Amos and his generals illegally retaliated against Major Brezler because they were more concerned with politics and their careers than the lives of their Marines and the service of a good Marine who did the right thing,” Bowe said in an e-mailed statement. “I look forward to their cross-examination.”
In case you’ve forgotten the back story of U.S. Marine Major Brezler, we shared it here. But let me quickly remind you, “The decision comes as a related lawsuit filed by the family of one of the Marines killed remains pending against the service in federal court. It alleges that the service ignored Brezler’s warning that the police chief, Sarwar Jan, was corrupt and sexually abusing children, allowing for the Aug. 10, 2012, ambush in which Lance Cpl. Gregory Buckley, 21; Staff Sgt. Scott Dickinson, 29; and Cpl. Richard Rivera Jr., 20; were killed at Forward Operating Delhi, a Marine Corps outpost in Helmand province’s Garmsir district. A fourth Marine sustained five gunshot wounds but survived.”
So let me clearly state the obvious. Major Jason Brezler is being separated from the Marine Corps because he “mishandled” classified information related to a questionable Afghan Police officer, Sarwar Jan. Here is a synopsis, “Brezler’s case first came to light after he sent an e-mail with a couple classified documents attached to Marines in Afghanistan about Jan. Brezler was deployed to Afghanistan from 2009 to 2010, and had worked successfully to have Jan removed from power in another district, Now Zad. Brezler self-reported his spillage of classified information afterward, and the service found that he had been keeping it on an unsecured hard drive.”
Major Brezler’s actions were in keeping with the highest of Marine traditions in that his purpose was to protect his fellow Marines. Sadly, his warning was not heeded and a child sex slave of Sarwar Jan took his AK-47 and gunned down Marines while they worked out in the FOB gymnasium. The first question is why was the sex slave of this police chief allowed on a U.S. forward operating base? It appears once again, as in the case of SFC Charles Martland, we have a problem. The second issue is why is there an investigation of Brezler and not the commanding officer of the FOB?
Ladies and gents, if Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus proceeds and dismisses Major Jason Brezler from the U.S. Marine Corps because of his handling of “classified information” — then what say you about Hillary Clinton? Major Brezler took his action for a noble cause, one that should have been heeded.
He did not seek to secretly store classified information and has not tried to obfuscate his duty or responsibility. There was no nefarious intent. So, if Brezler is to be punished, then how can we as a nation honestly look at Hillary Clinton and believe she possesses the character, integrity, and honor to be the commander in chief? That can only be possible if we adhere to the hypocrisy which seems to exist when it comes to progressive socialists and the liberal left media, an enabling arm of the Democrat Party. This is a double standard that cannot be dismissed. If the Navy goes forth with this adverse administrative action against Brezler, then what is the adverse action that will be taken against Hillary Clinton?
Are we to believe there are two very separate and distinct standards — and what is the basis of the difference? Is Jason Brezler just a nobody expendable U.S. Marine Corps Major and graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy as opposed to Hillary Clinton who must obviously possess more worth than he?
Just as Army 1LT Clint Lorance sits in Ft. Leavenworth serving a twenty-year sentence for facing and killing the enemy — as opposed to the coward deserter Bowe Bergdahl. And where is he, whose family received a White House Rose Garden welcome and accolades as having served with “honor and distinction?”
So, yes, the campaign of Hillary Clinton has been decided by the Department of the Navy who has decided that a Marine and his heroic action should be punished. Sadly, three Marines lost their lives because someone decided not to heed Brezler’s warning. Funny, it seems that happened on another occasion involving Hillary Clinton as she did not heed the concerns of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, and four Americans were abandoned to die.
Here’s my recommendation to Mrs. Clinton. I made a promise to the widow of former U.S. Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods when I met her at the U.S. Navy SEAL Museum in Ft. Pierce Florida. I will keep that promise, and Mrs. Clinton, you should step aside, because we already have one pathological liar and malignant narcissist of low character occupying the White House. We’re not looking for another, be it Republican or Democrat. Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus, if you dismiss Major Jason Brezler from the U.S. Marine Corps — then explain to all of us, why should Hillary Clinton escape punishment?
