Even as frontrunner Donald Trump continues to solidify his dominance in the GOP primary race, detractors continue to warn against the “perils” of his candidacy. His popularity is a fad, they told us. Now, after months of Trump not just holding the lead but even widening it in many polls, the media and establishment claim he’s not “electable.” Yet, as we shared with you earlier this week, national polls suggest Trump could indeed give presumed Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton a run for her money in a general election match-up.
Each bold statement the candidate is thought to be the one that will “end his campaign,” and yet they only seem to propel Trump further forward.
Now, piling on to those doing everything possible to detract from the increasingly real possibility of a Donald Trump presidency is everyone’s favorite Nation of Islam leader.
In a video posted to his Facebook page, Louis Farrakhan warns, “If Donald Trump becomes president, he will take America into the abyss of hell.”
Via The Blaze:
In it, Farrakhan said that Trump has certainly “done great things in the business world,” but charged that the Republican presidential candidate is “exacerbating the race situation in America.”
“Mr. Trump is tearing away the skin of the onion of white civility and the more he pulls the skin of that onion back, he’s beginning to show something in the character of the whites that follow him, that they don’t care what he says,” Farrakhan said. “He could say one thing this minute, another thing the next minute and you can see that the man has a little problem.”
He then proceeded to warn about what he believes will happen if Trump becomes president.
“He’ll take America exactly where America is heading. He’ll take you there on a rocket ship,” Farrakhan continued. “If he becomes your president, you’ll be just like him. … When you get leadership that is not rooted in justice, then they begin to make the people just like themselves.”
At the end of the segment, he warned that America should be careful before choosing Trump.
“You’re headed into the abyss of hell, and if you make a mistake in choosing your leaders, maybe you’ll go there faster,” Farrakhan said.
Actually, Farrakhan has a point here. Indeed, as the past seven years of President Barack Obama have reminded us in the most painful way, making a mistake in our choice of leaders is taking us down into the abyss faster than we ever imagined. No one has done more “exacerbating the race situation in America” than President Obama himself. He and his administration have torn away the skin of “black civility” indeed, fomenting the likes of Black Lives Matter, who have declared open season on cops and even whites in general. And anyone who dares to question this — or suspicious and/or hateful actions by any “minority” group — fears repercussions ranging from being labeled a racist to persecution by our own attorney general to a fate even worse.
People have had enough of this division and political correctness gone so far as to trump Americans’ God-given liberties, and Donald Trump is striking a chord. And it’s not just a white thing, as Farrakhan suggests. In fact, one recent poll showed non-whites getting behind Trump in big ways, with 40 percent of blacks, 45 percent of Hispanics, and nearly 19 percent of Asians lining up behind him.
Once again, these so-called leaders and authorities can try to tell the American people what they “should” or “shouldn’t do,” but it seems to be falling on deaf ears.
