Last week Bill O’Reilly asked me if I would be interested in leading the Tea Party. I certainly don’t believe one needs to be officially “anointed” to be recognized as a leader and voice for conservative principles. But I will gladly take that message from coast to coast.
Today I will hit the airways and travel to Utah and the Chicago area. It will be my first time ever in the state of Utah and I will be there to support a fantastic young conservative Congressional candidate, Mayor Mia Love. Mayor Love truly represents the future for the Republican party, and for our resurgent conservative movement. Hers is a story of American exceptionalism and the opportunity society for which so many have fallen for in our Republic.
Of course being a black conservative means she has the ire of the progressive socialists. If you are in the Salt Lake City area, come out to the Salt Lake Community College campus and spend some time with Mayor Love and myself.
I will then travel over to the Chicago area, yep, going in behind enemy lines, to speak Thursday evening at an event sponsored by the Young America’s Foundation and the Northwestern University College Republicans. The event will be held at Harris Hall and the topic will be “Should the U.S. use military action to spread freedom?” The event is open to the public so please come on out. National Military Strategy relating to our national security objectives is vital and it’s an issue that doesn’t get enough attention.
Finally, I pray everyone enjoyed a very memorable and special Veterans Day. Mine certainly was. I am so very humbled to have announced on Veterans Day the first book I have ever written, Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family and Freedom. You can pre-order a copy here.
The title truly symbolizes the purpose for all of us who have donned the military uniform of the United States of America. Next year, I look forward to touring and signing many copies for my fellow countrymen and patriots.
