I’m sitting here at the Denver International Airport awaiting a Frontier flight to Salt Lake City. I was recognized by a retired USAF fighter pilot who flew A-10 Warthogs- Army guys love that plane. As we were sitting and chatting, a young Frontier employee came by and asked if we were veterans. We replied, “affirmative ma’am.”

She thanked us and gave us both a card, which contained a personal note from her, J. Noble, and the American’s Creed. The Creed was written by William Tyler Page and was adopted by the US House of Representatives on April 3, 1918. It says in part:

“I believe in the United States of America…established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice, and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives…It is my duty to my Country to love it, support its Constitution, to obey its laws, to respect the flag, and to defend it against all enemies.”

Thank you so very much Ms. Noble for this subtle reminder of why I am a Guardian of the Republic. To all of you reading this, I humbly ask that this evening you take the time as a family or just yourself, and recite this Creed, if you believe in it. Then print it out, frame it, and display it in your home. Molon Labe!

    As I was in Houston this afternoon, I sniveled and couldn’t hold back tears as I watched another of our battle buddies return home in a flag draped coffin. To watch the people of all races, colors and creeds stand at the window to see our brave warrior be carried by the 6 soldiers on their dead mans cadence I was hopeful for our nation. While there were 5 of us standing at attention as the flag was taken to this family my 17th Fires BDE coin touched my hand reminding me of my fallen brothers, in combat and fallen because of ptsd. When I was in iraq for my first deployment, I avoided any services because I wanted to keep my superman mentality, but when I went to the Stan, our RCP platoon while unscathed, had seen brothers from other RCP’s taken in the line of duty. I don’t know what is harder, that roll call or the solemn walk to the bird at o dark thirty on dirty FOB’S. The people of our nation are awakening and want to restore pur nation. There is a virtual ARMY of oathkeepers and proud Americans waiting for a leader to step forward and be our generations Smedley Butler. Can you be that Mr. West? Can you stand above all odds and stop the red cloud George Washington was told about at Valley Forge?

    Several of the lineage societies to which I belong recite The American’s Creed at all of our meetings. Our children know it, too.
