Based on Oprah’s comments, I’m a racist too

Last night on the Kelly File with Megyn Kelly, we discussed Oprah’s comments on the BBC about criticism of President Obama having a basis in racism. Well, based on that measurement, I guess I must be pretty anti-black as well. Of course, when white Democrat Senator Harry Reid describes Obama as “clean and articulate” and not speaking with a “Negro dialect,” no one on the Left bats an eye.

Just curious, do you think Oprah’s Medal of Freedom Award was deserved or simply a sign of “racial nepotism?”

Well I am so sick of these people screaming that it is racism, the color of the presidents skin has nothing to do with his performance which he has failed miserably at and being more of a dictator instead of a president. Being a white woman and middle class, I feel in the lower class. Oprah and Obama are in the Elite class. This is still a class societal structure. Oprah has done a lot for women and self esteem. She is enormously successful. No time for the race card. Obama was elected President. History was made. He must live with critics like all great men and not whine about the naysayers.     My eyes are wide open. I am a white RN and the town nearly sold my property for paying taxes 9 months late without telling me, a woman landowner. I had no recourse. The same phenomenon happened post Civil war to emancipated slaves. I have more in common with poor blacks than Oprah.

    Philadelphia didn’t collect property taxes on hundreds of folks for over 20 years. Now the city is broke. IF you were a black woman YOU would qualify for that “affordable housing” the liberals are building in place of the public housing the poor folks tore up, destroyed.     I was not noticed myself. They told my husband. They said it was his responsibility to tell me they were selling my property. No other property was attempted to be sold as aggressively as ours. This was a personal vendetta. I am a powerless woman landowner. I imagined This is a small piece of what is feels like to be black. I found this has happened all over.   I agree with most of what you said, however I feel they both use the race card a lot lately, especially Oprah since Obama has been president. She used to be what I thought was a thoughtful and fair woman, who was trying to end racism in this nation, but now seems to want to promote it again with her latest antics.

What does the “medal of Freedom” really mean? Who does more or has given more for our freedom than the military. Then there are thousands who live their life with the sick and poor trying to help them. All the doctors and nurses who give of their time to preform surgery’s so a better life can be had. Oprah Winfrey is showing her true colors, it’s the shade of racism! I have lost all respect for her, and refuse to watch the own cable channel, that she owns, I have canceled the Oprah Magazine, that I had subscribed to, and I’ve unsubscribed to all online Oprah websites. I Refuse to support a racist! I’m done with her, and I hope everyone else will join me in this protest… Just say NO to anything to do with Oprah! I used to love Oprah and watched her show regularly, when she first came on. It was informative and entertaining back then. But, I saw her true colors many years ago. I saw the racism coming through early and stopped watching her. She has progressively gotten worse and since appearing in politics, has gone overboard. I cannot help her demise because I have not purchased her magazine, watched her network, or anything in years, but I think the American people need to rise against her. How different is her statement that all the older generation of whites need to die than Paula Deen’s acknowledging that she has said the “N” word in the past during a deposition. Actually, Oprah’s statement is current racism and Paula Deen’s comment was many years ago. The American public ruined her career and livelihood. We can do the same for Oprah. The medal was payback for expressing her support of Obama during the campaigns. He owed her for getting him elected. This is how he paid her off.

What is this thing about Obama being African-American? LtCol. West is African-American. Bill Cosby is African-American. Dr. Tom Sowell is. Millions are. But Obama is half-African, and his ancestors did NOT come to America as slaves and did never work on a plantation. He, unlike the Colonel or the great economist and political author, he did not have to face racism while climbing fast the social ladder.
His father was a Kenyan communist who went to the US courtesy of the US taxpayers to study. Little Barry was raised by his mother - but not too long. Then his (white) maternal grandparents stepped in. He SOUGHT African-American company. And he found it in the racist environment of J. Wright’s “church”. Mrs. Michelle is African-American, but Obama looks a bit black because of a random genetic development. He could just as well have inherited the looks of his maternal grandfather or his great-grandfather in stead. His “racial nepotism”, his playing the race card are, I would dare say, because he WANTS to be black. I wish some serious psychoanalyst would delve into the psychological basis for mr. Obama’s personality and his actions and inactions.

For the most part he speaks against what Obama is doing to the black population by setting them back, making them yet slaves to the government by making them so dependent on them they can’t “make decisions on their own, such as health care and jobs and education. I hope you learn to research everything Col West has said about Obama and ilk, the truth is out there if you open your eyes and go back and read/watch everything Obama has said and done to “help” blacks in America.

Does that make them any more powerful and prestigious, it makes them just like anyone else who can do the same if they apply themselves, but it seems that Obama doesn’t want anyone to do that, especially blacks and other minorities because he waves money and other government benefits in their face and convinces them that the government should take care of them not themselves, such as Obamacare because he doesn’t think we are not capable of making our own decisions. But he does this more to the black community than anyone else.

There are still racists in our country, and probably always will be. There are people whose hatred is directed at race, ethnicity, religion, gender, and a myriad of things. Historically, Blacks are not the only group of people who suffered under slavery. Look at the Jews in Egypt, and look what 6 million Jews suffered in Germany (along with 6 million others). While the Jews today, rightfully say “never forget” (just as blacks should be saying), yet Jews aren’t out there trying to continue victimizing themselves. They picked themselves up and carried on with their lives , educating themselves, and accepting responsibility for their own futures. I actually think that Oprah must be a racist herself. She equates racism with entire older generation of people who “need to die”. (and I assume she means “white” older people. At one time I really thought the world of Oprah, but now that I see her true feelings, not so much!

Many of the younger blacks today, because they’ve been told, and believe, that they’re still “victims”, are full of anger and hatred. The Oprah/Obama political philosophy continues to perpetuate this anger and hatred. Gangs of these young people are beating white people to death, and deliberately injuring innocent people because of the color of their “white’ skin. People like Oprah, Obama, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton… will never let us live in racial unity/harmony! They will continue to stir that racist pot to keep that hatred alive! In fact I so hoped a black man being elected would change the thoughts in a lot of folks mind, I so hoped he would be an outstanding President and bring so much needed change for the betterment of our country. It makes me wonder what obama is bribing her with so that she will have good things to say about him. Maybe he promised that she could sleep in the Lincoln bed? Is she so stupid that she doesn’t know that she will be snubbed again when all is said and done? Why would anyone trust oprah anymore than we trust obama?

Naive old me thought that racial biases were pretty much of the past - that after 71 years of seeing wonderful progress we had just about gotten there and then I saw the most racist vote I ever witnessed in 2008. The black community overwhelmingly voted for Obama, a mixed race person, even with all his radical, Socialist, Communist attitudes, friends and supporters!! No, racism is not dead, but it is truly alive and being fostered and nurtured by Obama, Oprah, the Democrat party, the Communist party (they are probably the same thing now) and the useful idiots who support them!! Let me be clear…. I do not support Obama and the Communist Democrat party because I disagree with and abhor EVERYTHING they stand for….but not because he is half black!!

I criticize Obama based on his works not his color or sexual preferences, just the lies he has told and the treason of his actions in supporting arming and funding the Muslim Brotherhood as well as his placement of them inside our government at several levels evidently just on his word without a background checks.

“Racism” is a made-up word that was introduced by the inventors of communism . . . in order to destabilize non-communist cultures and make them ripe for takeover.

True “racism” is desirable as it promotes the advancement of the culture and forges a “common bond” between the members of the race and does not denote superiority or inferiority, only commonality of culture and purpose.

Every race is expected to promote and advance its own culture; hence, the “congressional black caucus” for blacks and la raza for Hispanics.

It is only whites that are expected to shed all vestiges of racial cohesiveness.
Guess which race maintains the most racial and cultural cohesiveness yet decries racial cohesiveness by whites??
Guess who started the NAACP and ran it till the 1970s??

EVERY ethnic group and race was enslaved at one time or another…in fact, slavery is still practiced today, arabs enslaving blacks, primarily by muslims… where is the outrage from the “black community”??
Given the state of just about every African country today, black Americans should be glad that their ancestors were brought here…that being said, “we should have picked our own cotton”…

I am tired of being called a racist bigot. Yes I discriminate…with what I buy, what I eat, my music, movies, TV shows and who I associate with. I also discriminate in how I choose my friends and associates. It is my right to do so. If you are black and I decide that I don’t like you, so what? …I just don’t like you. You could be white or hispanic and I might not like you either. Color has little to do with it…Character does…your values…the things you like in life etc.

I am tired of black history month…black colleges…black scholarships, black pride, the congressional black caucus, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Barack Obama and his wife. I am tired of special treatment-contract set-asides, affirmative action, civil-rights laws that apply to minorities only-ask “attorney general” Eric Holder…who has stated that blacks cannot be “racist” and that “civil-rights” laws and “protections” DO NOT APPLY to whites

Whites have “bent over backwards” to “level the playing field”-it turns out that blacks want the “level playing field” all to themselves…and make excuses for their own social dysfunctionality. White altruism (which NO OTHER RACE POSSESSES) will spell the end of white society…you can bet that when whites are a “minority” in 50 years or so, the same laws and special privileges that are applied to certain minorities today will NOT be afforded to whites…

I love my country (what’s left of it), I served in our military and I love what America is supposed to stand for…freedom and liberty for EVERYONE. I didn’t get to go to college…my parents were the “white” (which automatically put me at a disadvantage) for me to qualify for a grant but if I had been black or a “person of color”…not white…the state would have paid my tuition…now why is that? It surely is not fair…yet blacks say I am racist because I question it…it has gotten ridiculous…

As a white American, I DON’T CARE anymore. You can call me “racist”-don’t be surprised when I respond with a heartfelt “thank you for noticing” and shake your hand.
