One thing that reliably drives liberals crazy is the truth. It’s almost a guarantee that if you try to have a discussion about how the economy has worsened under the Obama Administration (or at best, hasn’t lived up to its “promises”) and cite a statistic or two to illustrate, the response will likely include the word “Bush” in it.

Nonetheless, we conservatives must soldier on, and continue to present the cold, hard truth. So on a monthly basis, we’ll provide you with the official Allen B. West Data Card.     Just because the number of people collecting Unemployment benefits has
    fallen doesn’t mean that those people have found work. One statistic that really pisses me off.

      What people don’t realize is it is down because people have given up on finding a jog and QUIT LOOKING!!!

        Not every unemployed person who no longer collects unemployment benefits has stopped looking for a job. That’s asinine to even think. The unemployment figures are given to the public due to the numbers collecting unemployment. Obama was extending unemployment for several years. Those extensions started running out right before the last Presidential election. People started falling off the unemployment roles because they no longer qualified for unemployment benefits, not because they gained employment.. They are still unemployed and looking for jobs. They just aren’t in the system and counted. Making it look as if the unemployment numbers have dropped. Made it look good enough for dumb asses to think that the economy was actually improving. A well planned and well staged move by the Obama Administration.

        And how exactly does the State determine that people have stopped looking for work? Look at it realistically, we also have 12 million illegals in this country needing/taking jobs. The market can’t sustain the demand. Do we now have all those that the government claims “Gave up on looking for jobs” now living on the streets? Do they not have families to feed? Did those that gave up on looking for work flee to a country with a better economy and does our government track them? To say that people have given up on looking for jobs, how do these people survive?

        I know a couple of people in another state who HAVE QUIT LOOKING FOR WORK. I am sure that there ARE MANY MORE.

        That’s the 3.6% decrease in the workforce participation rate shown. Each percent represents about 3 million people, so over 10 million people are now excluded from the unemployment rate calculation.

      maclll - you hit it on the head. many folks have fallen off of unemployment benefits and still haven’t found work. I just read two days ago that there were X number (I forgot the actual number) of new jobs created under this administration. The following paragragh explained why this is true as many full time jobs were reduced to part time jobs thus creating the new positions. It’s all BS!

      You are missing the 40% unemployment among black teenagers and youth who were never able to find their first job because of the Idiot Minimum Wage and thus never get counted as unemployed or even as potential workforce members. How many of them go on to prison and remain unemployed and uncounted?

      Anyone who had a business, trade, or was self-employed, whose business failed is never counted as unemployed because they were not eligible for unemployment benefits.

      In 1954, when “How to Lie With Statistics” by Darrell Huff was published, it was mostly about advertising and media abuses, but today these techniques are propounded by government agencies and elected officials. For shame!

    I agree, since people can’t rely on lame stream media for facts, we have to rely on LTC West and ourselves. We should publicly share the Data Card and post/share it everywhere we go…grocery stores, libraries, laundry mats, coffee shops, etc. Also can’t wait to bring it out next time I’m on the phone with my Californian Liberal inlaws.

    Conservatives should not only soldier on but they should nail the executive branch of government for every lie they tell. When did it become normal for a President and any of his lieutenants to tell anything less than the absolute truth. They are the leaders of the most important country on earth.

    Please, include a count of the people that have “left the labor market”. A drop of 3% sounds small but actually represents several million of people! Add the millions of people that the Fed has decided to exclude from their stats to the 11.3 people on the first line and you actually have almost 15 million to compare to the 12 million “before” number. But that isn’t news to the 3 million that the feds have decided to ignore!!

      MORE policies that add and continue to add to the Debt: Free Smithsonian Museums for the people visiting Washington DC; highway funds being wasted on “sound walls” along interstates to increase the value of real estate bought by cheapskates next to the interstate; expensive and wasteful fireworks displays at the Washington Monument; subsidies for corn for fuel programs that cause Mexicans to pay four times as much for tortillas, their national food staple; federal highway funds wasted on placing mile markers at every TENTH of a mile on interstates; the ATF which causes immense outlays for lawyers, courts and settlements for remedies due to its wrongful death and denial of civil rights damages payments; advocacy research by the anti-gun medical establishments; incarceration and public defenders for illegal aliens instead of deportation; production of government information in foreign languages for domestic consumption; an explosion in the number of staffers, assistants, and support personnel for the legislative branch; Superbowl and other advertising for military recruitment, the post office, and other government monopolies; fuel, labor, and equipment to transport millions of school children to and from their homes five days a week; giving away, for free, the Panama Canal, bought and paid for by American treasure and blood; let me count the ways.

Allen West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached. He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family.

During his 22 year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was a Battalion Commander in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and later in Afghanistan.
