Since leaving office, West’s influence has expanded at an almost unheard of rate, with his Facebook followers alone growing from 189,000 in January 2013 to over 630,000 today. Clearly his unapologetic, courageous voice is resonating across the nation, and his website will give even greater exposure to his principled stance on a greater variety of issues facing our nation.

About Allen B. West

Allen B. West was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia in the same neighborhood where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once preached. He is the third of four generations of military servicemen in his family.

During his decorated 22-year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was a Battalion Commander in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and later in Afghanistan where he served as a civilian military adviser.

In November of 2010, Congressman West became the first black Republican from Florida since Reconstruction to be elected to the United States Congress.

    The first time I seen Mr. West was during the media coverage of the DC ScrollOut Ceremony held by the Special Operations Speaks Organization. Being a signer of the scroll that held hundreds of signatures by former and present Special Operation soldiers, demanding answers for the deaths of Americans in Benghazi.
    He impressed the heck out of me, based strictly on his words and views. Later I found that he was a former Congressman. The first thing that came to mind was…FORMER?? Maybe if our leadership of this country was made up of men like Mr. West we would not be in this situation we are now facing. A system of failed policies, one after an other.
    I have many contacts outside the US. From conversations with my trusted and respected foreign contacts, who I know to have very clear grasp of world events, personal insight, intelligent, and even tempered tolerance. my highly valued relationship fosters open and free thought. From these conversations, along with my own views, our great nations is losing our standing in the world’s view. Our greatness is being radically and definitively turning from that of a great nation, to simply a nation.
    The absence of men like Mr. West and those who have similar sacrifice’s to our nation could be argued as being the foundation of this nations decline. Being a congressman, in my point of view, does not merit the right to hold yourself as having “sacrificed” for your country. Being a congressman should be the ultimate reward to those that have already put their butts on the line for it.
    Gaining the popularity, voice of direction, plush offices, massive benefits which exceed any available to the rest of the country, provided travel, meals, lodging, insider information, access to our countries finest in field to further their own personal wealth, power, …the list goes on, should be held for those that have already shown their depths of sacrifice, not for those that can simply have access to the money it takes to buy the position. If our elected official were considered based on this assessment, we wouldn’t be in our declining state of affairs. People like Mr West probably would be a driving force that massively reduces this pomp and circumstance of office, they would grasp that the money they are spending is not their, it is the peoples who are currently being viewed far below their position that they have not earned the right to be holding.
    Would I vote for a man like Mr. West? After forcing myself to pretend the affiliation of a political party (Republican) next to his name wasn’t there, which I would. I answer with complete conviction YES!

    Who will run in 2016 that would replace the IRS with fair taxation? Who will eliminate the NDAA/Patriot Act and return our US Constitution? Who would limit or eliminate the useless depts in federal govt and return the power to the United ‘States’ such as the DOE?
    Who will keep our military strong and return a strong foreign policy? When will (almost) half of American voters be able to vote for PEOPLE in the primaries without having to join a ‘two party’ private club? (47% of voters).
